Radar SME (1280-07) - Huntsville View Description

Job Description : Serve as radar subject matter expert for one of our projects. Staff member must be able to review and understand radar system specifications, review design documentation, analyze prime contractor radar documentation, research technical approaches, write technical documentation and generate software requirement specifications. The staff member must be able to lead a team of system engineers in the development of software requirements and coordinate with a software development lead for the development of a radar stimulator. The position will also require a periodic assessment of programmatic and technical risks and their associate trades.

Experience Requirements
:

  • 10+ years of experience working in the area of defense industry
  • Experience with radar data analysis or radar system engineering required
  • Hands on experience in the analysis of simulated and real test data is required
  • Experience working during the acquisition test phase is highly desired
  • Candidate must also have experience with direct customer support
  • Experience with MATLAB is preferred
  • Experience in radar stimulator development preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effective and credibly communicate with diverse audiences
  • Strong leadership skills with past performance leading system engineering and software development teams

Education Requirements : Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field. BS required, MS or higher preferred

Travel Requirements : Low (Low initially; but High during Test Phase)

System Administrator (1280-06) - Huntsville View Description

The Systems Administrator will oversee integration efforts of software and hardware for one of our projects.  Responsibilities will include purchasing, configuring, shipping, and integrating cluster hardware and project specific software.

Position Duties:

  • System administration of multiple MS Windows and Linux computer systems connected via Ethernet and InfiniBand networks in a classified environment
  • Understand and execute security procedures necessary as defined by the NISPOM and JAFAN
  • Network administration
  • Execute security procedures necessary as defined by the SSP
  • Work with hardware and software vendors to ensure required components are in place and maintained according to contractual agreements
  • Communicate project status, problem status, and problem resolution information
  • Develop processes, communication paths, and protocols
  • Function in the role of Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

In executing the responsibilities of the role, the ISSO will:

  • Verify that appropriate security tests are conducted and documented
  • Ensure that the accreditation package(s) for system(s) under the DSS's purview to verify that each IS meets security specifications for an acceptable level of risk
  • Review the accreditation plan and reaccreditation activities
  • Ensure that proposed system changes are reviewed, and that implemented system modifications do not adversely impact the security of the system
  • Ensure that IS users' activities are monitored for compliance with security policies and procedures
  • Coordinate IS Security Program with other Facility Security programs

Education Requirements: Associate Degree (Bachelor Degree preferred)

Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in IT System Administration field
  • At least 1 yr Linux cluster administration experience
  • Strong understanding of dhcp, dns, hostfiles, fstab, disk images, general networking, and Infiniband
  • Knowledge related to installing, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring operating systems (i.e. Linux, Unix, and Microsoft Windows) and data storage systems
  • Knowledge of data back-up/recovery systems
  • Knowledge of programming languages applicable to the UNIX and Microsoft Windows environments
  • Knowledge of shell scripts (i.e. creating simple shell scripts using redirection, pipes, variable substitution, etc.)
  • Familiarity with defense documentation and certification
  • Understanding of SSP protocols
  • Ability to analyze new technologies and tools to select the most appropriate technology for a given task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • MCP, A+, Network, or other LINUX certification favorable

Executive Lead for Dayton Operations View Description

We are seeking an experienced leader to manage and expand our new operations in Dayton, Ohio. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Grow deciBel operations in Dayton by developing and implementing capture strategies that comply with the company’s strategic plan.
  • Responsible for Profit & Loss of deciBel’s Dayton Operations.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of projects performed out of the Dayton office.
  • Provides technical and administrative supervision

Qualifications :
The ideal candidate for this position has experience leading technical projects, managing office operations, building strong teams, and capturing new business.  The position also requires excellent personal and communication skills to permit effective interfaces with the customer and other organizations. Candidates should have at least a Bachelors degree and experience working with the Air Force and/or Intelligence Community.  Occasional travel is required.

Radar Engineer (Dayton Ohio) View Description

dB Radar Engineers provide radar engineering support to a customer.  Some areas in which they may work: requirements verification mapping to test requirements, advanced discrimination algorithms, advanced track correlation algorithms, sensor registration, system level integration algorithms, technology roadmap development, Models & Simulation support.  This position often requires technical, personal and communication skills to permit effective interfaces with the customer and other organizations. 

At a minimum, dB Radar engineers have a B.S. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.

Software Engineers (Dayton Ohio) View Description

deciBel Software Engineers perform work involved in one or more of the phases of developing software used in products or services provided to external customers.  They may develop applications or work with operating system software.  They design, develop and document software tools in support of analysis and simulation.  They may lead or manage programs, projects or tasks that involve software development or software engineering.    

At a minimum, dB Software Engineers are able to program effectively in 1 computer language and are familiar with multiple programming languages.
