The selected candidate will support the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Sensors Program serving as the technical liaison for the MDA/SNET (MDA Sensors directorate engineering test) team to specific Sensor Project Offices. Duties include capturing and reporting radar system software release dates; capturing, reporting, and providing a basic understanding of radar current and future capabilities and limitations; translating these capabilities into relevant metrics and settings for MDA ground testing; as well as interpreting them for test planning purposes. Some travel will be required.
Candidate for this position must have a BS in Engineering, Physics, or a related field, and an advanced degree highly preferred. A minimum of 10 years working in a technical role with BMDS Radars and BMDS ground testing is required.
Candidate must also have experience with MATLAB. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to read/process BMDS radar messages and have the ability to work in a team environment with various levels of contractor and government personnel. The qualified individual will have a BS and three years experience supporting detailed analysis activities to include the use of C, C++, and Java. General knowledge of DOD software development standards and/or VV&A standards is a plus. Recent experience extrapolating data from test execution runs, extracting data for purposes of analysis, and reviewing results to measure against an established acceptance criteria is highly desired. Experience using McCabe, Flawfinder, Klocwork, and DOS/Linux operating systems desirable. Exposure to working in highly collaborative environments requiring interaction with government technical representatives is beneficial.
Special Skills Desired: Experience with any of the current sensor simulations under development is considered a significant plus (CXSIM, OSM, GMDSIM (sensors), RDSIS and/or DigiSim).

deciBel Research is seeking to hire a Radar System Operator / Analyst in the Huntsville area to support pre-test and post-test evaluations. The Analyst should have 9 or more years experience supporting DOD software intensive programs with relevant training or experience in the development of modeling and simulation environments used for theatre or ballistic missile defense analysis. In particular, any recent radar application experience supporting pre or post mission analysis efforts in missile defense laboratories is desired. It would be extremely beneficial if the candidate's background included deployed radar operation experience, either in a missile defense laboratory or with a deployed system.
Special Skills Desired: Hands on radar operations experience with either a tactical or simulated radar analysis environment to include demonstrated skills in maintaining large databases and radar analysis tool sets. The candidate should be familiar with relational databases and Structured Query Languages (SQL) to access, format and reassemble compiled data structures for use by radar analysts supporting model and simulation analysis. Practical experience with radar analysis tools such as MATLAB would be considered a plus.
Also desirable is applicable experience in either industry and government in generating or reviewing software documentation, software installation and configuration instructions, user and training manuals, etc. The applicant should expect to work in a highly collaborative environment with oversight from the government's technical representatives. The Technician I will support the corporate information technology team in support of approximately 100 users. The primary responsibility will be to install and configure Windows and Linux workstations and respond to user questions/issues. The individual will perform installation and maintenance of Red Hat based Linux systems with some emphasis on web server maintenance and backup system maintenance. Selected candidates will also support IT Security issues. The qualified candidates will have a High School diploma, an A+ Certification, and have 0-3 years experience with Windows and Linux workstation products in a Helpdesk environment. The development environment is a combination of the LINUX gcc toolchain and Eclipse. Due to the technical nature of the work, a strong background in physics or math is required.
